Chapter 2

-Many years later-

Applejack, now a full grown mare had returned her home after a long night of working at Sugarcube Corner. She yawned and took some tips from her white apron, and opened her drawer that contained cans filled with lots of bits. She heard about an old abandoned sugar mill in Canterlot that looked big enough to be a restaurant. It costed alot, so that's why Applejack had to work at two restaurants. "Well, Miss Applejack rough night for tips, but every little bit counts." Applejack said as she placed the tips she earned into one of the cans. She then took out the flyer her father gave her a long time ago from her apron, and smiled at it. She then looked at the picture of her father, Cherryloo, and placed the flyer next to the frame. Her father was killed in a war, a few months after Applejack got her cutie mark. "Don't you worry, daddy." Applejack said as she kissed her hoof, and lightly touched the picture of her father. "We'll be there soon." She then went to bed, but she didn't stay there long, because her alarm clock went off.

After she hit her alarm clock to stop the ringing, Applejack went to her closet, opened it, took off her apron, and placed it inside the closet. "Good night, Sugarcube Corner." Applejack said as she took out a yellow waitress uniform, and put it on herself. "Good morning, Hay Burger." Later she ran to catch the train to Canterlot, and she caught it in the nick of time. During her train ride, she read a magazine called Cantelot's Digest. She didn't pay any attention to the stallion sitting next to her. When the train stopped at the Canterlot Train Station, she ran out of the train as the staillon took a flower from his hat, and prepared to give it to her, only to get a glare from another stallion. She got of the train, and tried to get to her workplace, but she was blocked by ponies that were dancing in a line. After they left, Applejack finally went on her way to Hay Burger. She then went to work by serving food to the customers making them happy. She even made her special apple muffins complete with honey and powdered sugar.

Applejack gave one of her special muffins to a military pony and he saluted her. She saluted him back, and her boss named Donut Joe gave her more plates of food to give to the customers. Meanwhile, a unicorn with a pale cornflower blue mane, dark grayish violet eyes that glow red occasionally because of her alicorn amulet that she wears on her gray cape with a hood on it, and a magic wand for her cutie mark named Trixie was telling her customer named Fancy Pants his fortune. His fortune was to find love, but since he was bald, he couldn't find it. So Trixie took out some magic dust and placed it on the card with a heart on it. She blew on the dust, and it landed on Fancy Pants. The dusk grew him a new mane, and then later he went to charm a unicorn named Fleur Dis Lee. But then blue fur sprouted over Fancy Pants, causing Flur Dis Lee to scream and hit him with her pink purse before she ran off.

Fancy Pants looked at his reflection in the store window, and he screamed as he ran off. Trixie snickered as she placed the bit that Fancy Pants paid her in her small brown bag. Then she looked at Shining Armor in his carriage, driving up to a little colt named Pipsqueak who was selling newspapers. Shining Armor paid Pipsqueak lots of bits that were in a small white bag. Pipsqueak happily gave him the newspaper before Shining Armor took off with Trixie watching in total dismay. Trixie's shadow then took out the bit out of her bag. Trixie looked at the bit, looked behind her, and growled in jealousy. Shining Armor then started reading the newspaper he bought. On the front page, it said that Prince Applejack or Prince AJ for short who is the male counterpart of Applejack was coming to Canterlot from Manehattan.

At the docks, AJ was greeted by paparazzi while his assistant named Dr. Caballeron was carrying the luggage. AJ got rid of his royal sash, took out his guitar, went off the boat, and started to play for the mares that adored him. He saw ponies dancing in a line, and decided to follow them. The mares followed him as well, and Dr. Caballeron tripped on AJ's royal sash, and fell onto the docks. Meanwhile, Shining Armor pulled up to his mansion where his daughter, Rarity, now a full grown mare was waiting for him. She got into the carriage, and Shining Armor handed her the newspaper as the carriage took off. Rarity looked at the front page, and she got super excited about AJ. The dancing ponies were dancing past Hay Burger as Applejack went outside to serve coffee to a customer, and placed two empty cups and one empty plate on her tray. AJ, who was following the dancing ponies tried to charm Applejack, but she scoffed. So he shrugged and took off as Shining Armor's carriage pulled up to Hay Burger. Little did he know that he was being watched by Trixie, and her shadow.
